I love talking to groups, large and small, about making smarter choices with money and social media. Some of my most popular talks are described below. I love organizing "moms' night out" events, too -- events feature signed books and a fun discussion around moms and money. Please contact me for more details!
How to Be a Smart, Rich Mom
Ideal for groups of women and based on my new book, this talk delves into how to build wealth while raising a family. Topics include smarter spending, juggling work, saving for college and retirement, investing and teaching kids about money. This talk can also be customized for financial professionals who work with "smart moms," to help them cater to their clients' needs and interests.
Empower Your Life With Social Media
Learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other tools to earn more money, protect your privacy, establish your brand and digital presence and meet your career and life goals. This workshop can be customized depending on the audience — older adults, women at midlife and concerned parents of teens are among my favorite audiences! (I also offer a limited number of one-on-one coaching and small private seminars on this topic.)
Building the Economy of You
Based on my book "The Economy of You," this talk explains how to come up with a killer idea for the side-business that will help build financial security, how to build and market it, how to juggle it alongside a full-time job, and how to avoid common pitfalls. I share the struggles and successes of some of the side-giggers profiled in the book, as well as my own experiences as I built Palmer’s Planners. This talk is especially popular with recent college graduates, twenty and thirty-somethings looking to expand their income, and soon-to-be retirees who want to continue earning money post-retirement.
How to Be a Financial Rock Star
Through personal stories and well-researched advice, I help attendees come up with a plan of attack for taking control of their money. We focus on three themes–smart spending, saving, and earning–and cover the best strategies for improving in each one. Attendees learn how to set and meet savings goals without sacrificing what’s important to them and to earn what they’re worth, including the importance of building multiple income streams. This talk, based on my book, "Generation Earn," is most popular with recent college graduates and young professionals.
